Are yoga mats and props provided?

Yes, yoga mats and props will be provided for all participants, so no need to bring those. Suggest participants wear hiking shoes or sneakers, bring at least 1/2-1 liter of water, and dress appropriately for the outing – lightweight yoga or hike clothes in Summer and warmer layers in Winter. Hat, sunscreen and camera are also suggested.


Is transportation included for yoga/hike outings?

No, Surya Sedona Yoga does not provide transportation for yoga or hike outings. Clients are responsible to have their own vehicle, or arrange transportation to/from outing locations.


Where do client outings meet-up?

Most Yoga and Hike outings meet-up at the Sedona Self-Love Retreat Center in West Sedona, exact location noted in confirmation emails. Also happy to send Yoga Instructors to client Airbnb locations for private indoor yoga sessions.


How challenging are yoga and hike outings?

All yoga and hike outings are tailored for the individual participants – can be basic-beginner level, moderate, or advanced-strenuous. Surya Sedona Yoga strives to ascertain ahead of time the desired yoga and hiking activity level. It is helpful to communicate when booking if need very gentle and easy, or if seeking more advanced and challenging yoga hike outing. We definitely need to know if there are any injuries or other precipitating conditions. Most session outings will be moderate unless requested otherwise.


Is there an age requirement?

No, we work with clients of all ages – children and adults all welcome to participate. It is always helpful to know of any health conditions, so Guides can be prepared and tailor the session or outing appropriately. Also note children under 10 get a discount, so feel free to mention when booking.


What happens if it rains or is too hot for outdoor yoga?

Since weather is unpredictable we strive to schedule outings during best weather. In the heat of summer outings are mostly set for early morning or around sunset. Likewise, in the Winter outings are generally mid-day or afternoon when temperatures are usually warmest. Outdoor sessions may be moved indoors if weather forbids the outing. Every effort will be made to re-schedule outdoors. If re-schedule or indoor session not possible 1-year credit will be issued. No refunds due to weather.


What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellation Policy:

Payment for yoga and hike sessions is due in full at time of booking. Due to Instructor/Guides holding space in their calendar for scheduled session/outings, please note the following: Any cancellation more than 48 hours ahead may receive a 1-year credit for the full session amount. There is no credit for cancellations less than 48 hours before session/outing date. Once scheduled, any requested change will incur a $50 change fee. Transportation is not provided for outdoor sessions. Clients are responsible for transportation to/from outings. Outdoor sessions may be moved indoors for inclement weather. Every effort will be made to re-schedule outdoors. If re-schedule or indoor session not possible 1-year credit will be issued. No refunds due to weather, nor participant count reduction.
